Vintage Girl
So I basically love this head accessory. Its cute and very vintage. While everyone is planning for Coachella, I am planning for the vintage ball at the Governor's Island this summer. Call me crazy. I bought this a long time back, and since have been wondering when to wear it. With the onset of Spring and hopes of summer, its out of the closet. Don't you think its beautiful?

A Morning Walk
I probably dwell in the past forever. I like to think about happy times, and sad time in the past. I have an excellent memory they say, but it doesnt always make me happy. A good memory can sometimes be a burden too. But as of now, I am happy!
I remember the day I arrived here. Newport, Jersey City. It was the 8th of March 2012 and 2 days later M had to get back to work. He had already taken a very long leave, for the marriage, and traveling back and forth to India. So, being in the situation I decided to step out on a fine Monday morning and walked towards Exchange Place. It has an excellent deck with a view of the Freedom Tower (Earlier the WTC). It was chilly and the roads empty. I was so depressed to see the empty roads I almost had tear in my eyes. Coming from Mumbai, India, empty roads are a dream to some, and for people like me, a nightmare. And the first thought that came to my mind was, why am I here? I like to see people around, and there wasn't a soul. Now when I look back, I of course realise that, its an insane idea to step out in that kind of cold, and more importantly, on a weekday...people go to work, you know! and not roam around on the roads.
We recently complete 2 years of marriage. And just a glance back, I feel it has been a long journey. A new location in a new country, new relationships with a new person, family, friends...it doesn't really work out the same way you get new clothes. Its not that easy. But I have been lucky. Knock knock.

The Wrap Around Bun
This style took me roughly 15minutes to finish. You can wear it for a party, a prom, a wedding, picnic! just about anything...
All you got to do is to keep wrapping around. Here is how I did it... There is also a video at the end of this page.
Tie a little knot at the center of your crown. Now keep pulling out small sections of hair all over your head and keep wrapping around to secure it tightly. I kept the front fringe loose, but you can include that too. And that's all it is! BTW, don't forget to finish it with a hair spray. especially if our hair is slippery like mine :)

Bold Wide Eye
We are all so beautiful, with beautiful features, meant just for us, and our face, I feel, a little less stereotyping thoughts, we can find beauty in everyone. In a very quirky manner, or in a different way. This thought has always intrigued me, that why do we think someone is hot while the other one pretty. Why cant they be all beautiful? Why was a bushy eye brow imperfect a couple of years back, while in vogue now? Could it be because, someone just walked off with her bushy eyebrow with so much confidence that we now believe that that's the right thing to have? thought provoking. I think its a deep need for social acceptability for some perhaps, art for some and a mix of both for some.
Wide eyes is another such phenomenon. Though I feel, its not entirely just beauty, but the art of portraying that "hey, I am awake" :)
Here is a little trick, of doing smokey with eyes wide open. The simple trick is that instead of joining the lines at the outer corner, do it inside. And there you go. Try it and let me know if this worked for you. For me it did.

I just realized that I am developing some sort of shoe fetish. I google, look at shoes online and drool over it. Silly me! I prefer shoes without heels a lot, because they are so comfortable. Of course, but then I like heels too.
Here is a collection of foot-wears, I have been drooling over for a while now... Take a look!

St. Michael - Why I love it so!
I think the most beautiful thing about marriage is, discovering things together. New unknown things, places, people and falling in love. Together.
That's how we found St. Michael. Pretty little town. Its in Maryland, about 210mi from New York. This town has pretty houses, very beautiful docks and restaurants. My favorite restaurant is Town Dock restaurant, and what I order....yes every time I order the same thing as I luuuuuurve it...is Cioppino. Everything about my visit to this little town is about repeating. Same little St. Michael's Vineyard, same restaurant and same food, but strangely I just want to do it over and over again.
